The iOximeter from Safe Heart is a battery-free, smartphone powered pulse oximeter compatible with both Android and iOS that works by simply plugging into your device's headphone jack, and reads a user's blood oxygen saturation, pulse rate, respiration and perfusion index (SpO2, PR, RR and PI, respectively) without having to rely on external power, and can be used for continuous monitoring for up to 12 hours. To achieve this, the iOximeter uses an innovative circuit design to send and receive data at a bit-rate that is sufficient for sending the measured telemetry while keeping the power consumption down to a minimum. Extremely portable and lightweight, the iOximeter is a useful companion that can be used anywhere.
